5,000,000 E.T. Atari Games Rumored Buried in the Desert

I don’t know if the video below is real but the story is real. Personally I didn’t think it it was such a bad video game. Maybe because it it was one of my very first games every.

E.T. is frequently cited as a contributing factor to Atari’s massive financial losses during 1983 and 1984. As a result of overproduction and returns, millions of unsold cartridges were buried in an Alamogordo, New Mexico landfill. The game’s commercial failure and resulting effects on Atari are frequently cited as a contributing factor to the video game industry crash of 1983.

How we came very close to seeing a Total Recall 2

I’m not sure how I feel about this. I mean, Total recall wasn’t the best movie in the world but I still watched it many times.  Even the video game sucked, but I still played it over and over again. Maybe it was the whole SciFi thing it had going for it. Maybe it was the mutant prostitute with three breasts.  That was awesome.

Turns out, we came really close, several times. Tons of scripts were written, all of which tried to preserve the ambiguity and craziness of the original film in different ways — and some of them sound like they were downright bizarre. Discover the long, weird saga of Total Recall 2, in this excerpt from the book Tales from Development Hell by David Hughes.

LEGO Millenium Falcon Piece By Piece in Stop Motion

I heart this with all of my geekiness. And I love the music it was set to. I may have been tapping my foot along with the song. You’ll never know.

Francisco Prieto spent over 3 years to compose this stop-motion clip, modeling all of the individual LEGO components from the 5,000+ piece model using 3ds max, along with the help of V-Ray. The animation runs just 3 minutes, 35 seconds long, and is well worth the watch.

AT-AT Imperial Dharma Bus

Because when I see a VW Bus I automatically assume that it’s Dharma related, just like any other sane LOST fan.

“And now, 15 minutes of Worf’s ideas getting shot down by everyone on The Next Generation”

“No one ever listens to Worf. He gets denied, rejected, scoffed at, laughed at and he keeps his poise through it all.
Worf allows his instincts to guide him. He needs people to calm him down. Keep him in check. Keep him on a tight leash!
From Beginning to end, here is pretty much every denial.
