Star Trek Script Written for Milton Berle Found

Remember that time Milton Berle was on Star Trek? No. Of course you don’t. But what you didn’t know was that there was a script written especially for him to appear as a guest star that never made it to be filmed. And there’s a good reason.

They assumed he would want it to be comedic, and the script writers did a terrible job of it.

This original version was rewritten into an unfunny comedy by the line producer Gene Coon apparently unaware that Uncle Miltie was also a serious dramatic actor and a good one. It was so bad that I complained to Roddenberry… and he agreed with me. I killed my second Star Trek, which, down through the years has cost me tens of thousands of dollars in lost residuals.

But don’t fret fans. You can download the (TERRIBLE – they said it not me) script for your kindle for a mere $9.
